The final art with background is shown here. The art was executed in mixed medium, casein, acrylic, and Gouache. The line art was copied onto 2 ply Strathmore paper and then mounted onto alligator board—a harder, and firmer version of foam-core. A heavy layer of Liquatex Acrylic gel medium was applied over the entire surface of the line art before applying any of the water-based mediums. Paper (frisket) mask was used to create the shadow in the upper background area. The blue background area was airbrushed.
